Friday: Improvement for HRT
Even though they remain in the background, the HRT are making progress and hope to continue on this upward trajectory tomorrow during the third practice session.
Pedro de la Rosa – 21st and 22nd
The day started with an unusual morning session due to the weather conditions, but it was the same for everyone. Nonetheless, the afternoon session went well, and we were able to try several setups and adjustments that allowed us to improve the car’s balance with both medium and soft tires. We were able to complete the scheduled program today, but tomorrow we will need to make more progress. We definitely feel an improvement compared to the Malaysian Grand Prix, and the team is working well, but we still have work to do.
Narain Karthikeyan – 23rd and 23rd
« The weather conditions were not favorable for us during free practice 1, which meant we couldn’t get any clean runs. I had some issues this morning, but this afternoon, when we tried a few different adjustments, it was better. We have a few things to work on for tomorrow, especially with the brakes, but apart from that, everything went well. We need to improve and we are doing so. Tomorrow morning’s practice will be more representative of our level. »
