Chelsea Football Club future sponsor of Sauber?
Many rumors are echoing this weekend about a possible partnership between the Sauber team and a mystery sponsor. There is talk of a potential contract with the London football team Chelsea.

During the last Chinese Grand Prix, the Sauber team displayed an intriguing slogan on the engine cover of its cars: Out of the blue… This was all it took for the media to seize the opportunity to link a number of potential sponsors to the Swiss team.
It is the Swiss newspaper Blick that first interpreted this as a promotional announcement for the introduction of a new sponsor. A sort of mini teasing campaign for Sauber, which, according to the daily, is expected to announce a new partner in the coming days.
The magazine Auto Motor Und Sport relayed this rumor, suggesting that a transaction might take place with the American multinational firm AT&T, well known in the Formula 1 scene for having been a long-time sponsor of the Williams team during the 2000s.
Another hypothesis circulating in the paddocks is that Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich would invest in the Swiss team to promote the Chelsea football club of which he is the owner. The nickname of the team’s players is, incidentally, the Blues.
Finally, this slogan, Out of the blue, was also that of a leading beer brand in the Canadian market, Labatt, which sponsored the McLaren team in the 1970s.
