Red Bull partners with the World Series by Renault
Renault seeks to optimize its presence in motorsports through widespread exposure. The engine manufacturer is relying on its best client, Red Bull Racing, to enhance the appeal of its own discipline, the World Series by Renault. Demonstrations of the 2010 world champion F1 will therefore be conducted by Jean-Eric Vergne, Daniel Ricciardo, and Sébastien Buemi.

These three drivers are well-versed in this discipline as they all cut their teeth here, similar to Sebastian Vettel who made the transition from Formula Renault 3.5 to Toro Rosso in 2007. Jean-Eric Vergne, the reigning vice-champion, will perform the first demonstration during the Motorland meeting in Spain.
The French Toro Rosso driver explains: “I feel at home at the World Series by Renault. I spent three years with these meetings, two seasons in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 and one in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series. I know many people, especially drivers against whom I’ve raced at various levels of my career. It’s therefore a pleasure and a privilege to find myself behind the wheel of the RB6 in front of the World Series by Renault crowd. I will do everything I can to put on a great show for them.”
Renault Sport Technologies, which is responsible for all of Renault’s competition activities (excluding F1), is changing its partner team for its promotional formula, a role previously held by Renault F1 Team, then Lotus GP. With Renault’s name no longer officially included in the Enstone team’s name, the managers of Renault Sport Technologies now had the freedom to negotiate with another team. The attractiveness presented by Red Bull made it an ideal partner. This agreement gives a new dimension to the partnership between Red Bull and Renault. Jean-Pascal Dauce, its competition director, stated: « This should help increase the visibility of our events while providing a unique marketing platform for the subsidiaries involved. »
