Police raid in Monza
As the most glamorous Grand Prix of the year is about to take place in Monaco, Monza is in the spotlight due to a raid by the Italian financial police.

The legendary Italian circuit is 70% owned by the prestigious Automobile Club of Milan and is led by Enrico Ferrari. He is very well connected within F1 circles as he is part of the F1 commission.
The raid conducted by the Guardia di Finanza aimed to find concrete evidence in an investigation into tax fraud, false invoices, and other malpractices that were allegedly organized within Autodromo Nazionale Monza SIAS SpA, the legal entity that manages the circuit.
Seven people are suspected of being involved in this case, which led to the search of both their offices and their respective homes. At first glance, this should not have a significant impact on keeping the event on the F1 calendar since it is a management-related issue and does not call into question the financing of the event, the most important thing in the eyes of Bernie Ecclestone.
