The schedule of a World Champion is not at all restful. On Monday, the Canadian Grand Prix will barely have been contested, but that doesn’t mean Sebastian Vettel’s agenda will allow him to take a break. The German driver is actually expected in the suburbs of New York, where the new Grand Prix of the Americas is supposed to be held starting in 2013, on the street circuit of Port Imperial.

According to Pitpass.com, the current second-place driver in the standings will complete a lap of the 5.1 km circuit at 14:30 local time, winding along the West Bank of the Hudson River, offering a unique view of Manhattan’s skyline. We also provided a preview of the layout at the event’s announcement, visible below.

Vettel will then participate in a press conference alongside the Mayors of Weehawken and West New York, the municipalities lending their roads to the circuit, and representatives from the Infiniti brand, a privileged commercial partner of Red Bull Racing, suggesting that this demonstration will be done at the wheel of a vehicle from Nissan’s premium brand.

If the doubts expressed by Bernie Ecclestone regarding the holding of this Grand Prix of the Americas are dispelled – while <a href="/f1/actualite/12919-F1-Le-New-Jersey-assure-que-son-Grand Prix-est-dans-les-temps.html" target="_blank" title="

The New Jersey assures that its Grand Prix is on schedule – the organizers claim to be on time – the event will join another race held on American soil, the United States Grand Prix, held in Austin, Texas, and already included in this season's program.
