Prosthetics help Kubica drive correctly
Robert Kubica underwent another operation on Tuesday to help him regain mobility in his right elbow in order to handle a steering wheel properly.

Polish driver Robert Kubica was seriously injured in an amateur rally at the beginning of 2011. Despite numerous injuries to his hands, arms, and legs, the former Renault driver still hopes to one day return to competition at the highest level, which is Formula 1.
After a series of numerous surgical operations, a final one was undergone by the Pole this Tuesday, performed in Italy by Dr. Ruggero Testoni.
The press agency ANSA also states that this operation, which was successfully completed, aimed to insert prosthetics to restore mobility to his right elbow, as Dr. Testoni precisely explains: « Now, he can turn the steering wheel completely. Before, he was unable to turn his palm down and was forced to give a helping hand on the steering wheel to make curves with his left hand. The operation was preceded by a series of tests on a Formula 1 simulator. »
These tests formed the basis on which his operation was decided. Robert Kubica, who lives in Tuscany, is expected to undergo his rehabilitation in Verona.
