Friday: Lotus works on its settings
The day was studious for the members of Lotus. The work focused - due to a lack of new features on the car? - on finding the right settings, which for now elude Kimi Räikkönen. But the expected increase in temperatures could play in favor of the Enstone team.

Romain Grosjean – 14th and 14th
Today marked my first time on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit and I really enjoyed it. It is not an easy track, and the weather was not what we are expecting for the rest of the weekend, so it’s a shame not to have been able to drive in warmer conditions. We spent a lot of time learning how the car behaves here and trying different options with the settings. We have a good amount of data, but obviously, we will need to work just as hard tomorrow if the temperature rises. The car seemed good and we also completed a few laps with the Super Soft tires, so overall, it was a very useful day.
Kimi Räikkönen – 15th and 15th
« It was an okay day for us. We were expecting rain in the afternoon, so we used the Super Soft tires in the morning to make sure we got some long stints in, and we finished everything we needed today since the rain didn’t come right away. I’m not 100% satisfied with my settings and I think we’re missing a trick somewhere. It’s not a major issue, but I know we can be faster. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow, anything can happen and fingers crossed for warmer weather as it seems to help us. »
