Timo Glock out for the race in Valencia
The Marussia driver has just withdrawn, still suffering from stomach problems. He had already been forced to forgo participating in the qualifying session. Marussia-Cosworth will therefore have only one car on the starting grid, that of Charles Pic, who will start 23rd.

Timo Glock was waiting for his health to improve to start the European Grand Prix, held in Valencia. Still troubled by an intestinal virus, he preferred to withdraw. His team notes that “the doctors suggested it wasn’t reasonable for him to participate in the race due to the intensity of the pain, and he should focus on his recovery.”
He had not been able to take part in the qualifying session but was reinstated by the race management thanks to the times achieved during the free practice sessions on Friday and Saturday morning. Marussia will therefore have only one car on the starting grid, that of Charles Pic. For a replacement to be able to race, the team would have needed to announce a driver change—with a Super License—before the qualifications.
