Sunday: Glock absent, Pic rose to the occasion at Marussia
Unable to field more than one car on the starting grid, following Timo Glock's withdrawal, Marussia is nonetheless pleased to have helped place Charles Pic ahead of both HRTs, bouncing back after a disappointing Canadian Grand Prix. The team is now looking towards Silverstone where a new aerodynamic package awaits them.

Charles Pic – 15th:
Having not been very happy with where I finished in qualifying yesterday, I am by contrast very pleased with how things turned out for me and the entire team in today’s race. I think we extracted the maximum from our strategy and made sure everything worked in our favor. I am happy to see the improvement in our race pace and the fact that we are back in a better position against the Caterhams ahead. I am also satisfied that we have been able to put the HRTs behind us again, and in that sense, I had an enjoyable race being able to do the work we needed here. I would like to thank the team for all the hard work throughout the weekend and especially today, where we put everything together to achieve the best possible result. This weekend has been frustrating for everyone, but I think we can now look forward to the team’s home race in two weeks with anticipation, a bit more confidence, and both cars on track, hoping to push improvements a little further.
Timo Glock – Forfeit:
The German driver, having suffered from severe stomach pains this weekend, was forced to withdraw from the race and declare himself unfit.
