Friday: the Saubers are comfortable in the rain
We have known since the Malaysian Grand Prix and Sergio Pérez's podium: the Sauber cars excel in wet track conditions. This British Grand Prix is therefore a golden opportunity for the Swiss team, despite the limited running done today.

Kamui Kobayashi – 4th and 5th:
« In rainy conditions, our car isn’t bad, but it’s difficult, if not impossible, to guess how it would be on a dry track here. However, the conditions are the same for everyone, so we can’t complain. Obviously, we couldn’t evaluate the new parts as we had planned.
In the end, I took a set of Intermediate tires, but just to get a feel for them. It was undoubtedly too wet for them. In general, the track tends to develop small streams here and there, and even on the straights, you have to be very careful not to lose the car due to aquaplaning. It looks like we’re going to have a wet weekend, and that might not be the worst thing for us.
Sergio Pérez – 7th and 2nd:
« I found this day very boring. There wasn’t much we could do and it was impossible to complete our program. However, we did some running on a wet track and our car seems good in these conditions. »
