Friday: HRT can face all conditions
Despite a mechanical problem with Pedro de la Rosa's car in Free Practice 2, HRT gathered data in all kinds of conditions, with Dani Clos driving in the morning alongside his compatriot on a dry track, and Narain Karthikeyan taking over in the afternoon in the rain.

Pedro De La Rosa – 23rd and 24th:
Today was a strange day, but I’m glad I was able to run this morning with the Medium tires and a final stint with the Intermediate tires. This way, if it doesn’t rain during the race, we have a small idea of what we might encounter, and if it rains tomorrow, as it seems likely, at least we know what to expect. The mechanics did a good job allowing us to get out today, and now we need to work on the settings for tomorrow.
Dani Clos – 24th [Free Practice 1]:
« It was an interesting session where I was able to ride a large part of the time on dry ground, although the track was changing. There were a few showers that, at times, made things a bit more complicated. But I am happy with how it went. We did a good job and the car responded well, which is the goal. »
Narain Karthikeyan – 22nd [Free Practice 2]:
« It wasn’t my best day because I didn’t ride this morning and Free Practice 2 was in the rain. It wasn’t very productive and if tomorrow, the track is dry, I will face completely new conditions. But it seems it should rain tomorrow, so today’s data will be useful. I expect tomorrow to be difficult but I am ready for this challenge. »
