Friday: Sauber is not in its place
After the two sessions this Friday, the Saubers feel below their usual performance. While Kamui Kobayashi has not yet found an answer to his problems, Sergio Pérez explains that a brake issue delayed him, preventing him from switching to Soft tires.
Kamui Kobayashi – 12th and 15th:
« Today, the weather was a surprise. We had such a dense schedule that I would have really preferred to have two dry sessions, because we still have a lot of work to do. For some reason we don’t understand, we struggled this morning. We don’t yet understand our poor performance in the dry and we need to investigate that. We were fast in the wet, but I think it’s useless when we look at the weather forecast. »
Sergio Pérez – 10th and 18th:
« It was a difficult day. I am still not happy with my car. We need to look at the data and have a good testing session tomorrow morning. However, on the timing sheets, the situation seemed particularly bad for me in Free Practice 2 because I couldn’t go out on Soft tires after we had to fix a brake problem in the garage. »
