Sunday: Sauber’s race reflects the weekend
Poorly positioned after qualifying, the Sauber team couldn't do much better in the race, as the C31 was unable to preserve its tires like it did earlier in the season. Sergio Pérez, in 14th place, and Kamui Kobayashi, in 18th place after ending his race one lap from the finish, didn't have the tools to make a comeback.

Sergio Pérez – 14th:
« I’m afraid I don’t have much to say. We just lacked rhythm. We tried to extend my first stint to be on an alternate strategy, but in the end, I think there was nothing we could do to get into the points. It’s a shame, but we’ll come back fighting after the break. »
Kamui Kobayashi – 18th:
« We were simply too slow here. We struggled all weekend, especially with the Medium tires. I also lost a few positions after the start when I found myself completely on the outside at the first corner with nowhere else to go. Eventually, I had to retire late in the race due to a hydraulic leak and that was it. For some reason, the Hungaroring didn’t suit us. »
