Austin sold all his general admissions

If some new events have experienced difficulties selling their tickets, this is not the case for the United States: Austin just announced that all general admissions have been sold out, more than four months before the event is held.

More than four months before the Grand Prix of the Americas, which will take place in Austin, the organizers of the Grand Prix have announced that they have sold all their general admissions. General admissions are tickets sold to those who want to enter the circuit grounds without paying the price of grandstand seats. Above all, the circuit’s press release highlights the impact that an F1 race can have on the local economy through the tourism it generates.

Indeed, Geoff Moore, the marketing director of the circuit, revealed that buyers of these tickets came from 50 US states and 37 different countries, which means that a large number of hotel nights will need to be booked. The impact on the entire region will therefore be significant.

Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that the event is certain to be sold out, as there are still seats available in the stands. This is due to the fact that the organizers decided last June to build two additional grandstands to meet the demand from spectators. At the time, Julie Loignon, the vice president in charge of public relations for the circuit, said: “We continue to be impressed by the global interest from fans for our first Formula 1 race and have responded to our customers’ demand by increasing the number of reserved seating options. Within a week, we sold out the seating sections for turns 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, and 11 East. Our seating plan allows us the flexibility to make adjustments based on customer demand, and we are delighted to offer new stands in areas with great views of the track.”

It only remains for all the infrastructure to be completed on time, despite the delays experienced last February due to the legal battle between the leaders of the Circuit of the Americas and Tavo Hellmund.
