6,000 spectators deprived of tickets for Spa-Francorchamps?
After Valencia and Silverstone, nearly 6,000 spectators of the 2012 Belgian Grand Prix could be left without tickets as one of the ticket resellers for Spa-Francorchamps, The Ticket Enterprise, is reported to have defaulted. The case is currently in the hands of the Dutch judiciary.

Ticket sales are the only source of revenue left to Grand Prix organizers by Bernie Ecclestone. Therefore, circuits seek as many partners as possible to sell the maximum number of tickets. Nevertheless, it seems that one of Spa-Francorchamps’ resellers, The Ticket Enterprise, has defaulted, which would deprive nearly 6,000 spectators of their precious tickets…
This is not the first time such a story has appeared this season. Indeed, thousands of spectators experienced similar inconvenience during the Valencia and Silverstone events when the company Simply the ticket simply disappeared and never sent the tickets that customers had paid for.
As for this new story, The Ticket Enterprise had been a respected and recognized company for many years by various motorsport events around the world. It managed a dedicated site for Hockenheim, Valencia, and Barcelona for both F1 races and Moto GP or DTM. It had been a reseller for Spa-Francorchamps for five years.
If the figure of 6,000 defrauded spectators is advanced by the Dutch newspapers Gazet van Antwerpen and Het Belang van Limburg, it seems that the potential victims are significantly fewer than this figure since the company allegedly sold far fewer tickets than that. The case is now in the hands of the Dutch judiciary, which must determine whether a fraud has been committed. There are therefore two weeks left to resolve the current situation before the event takes place.
We remind you that, by definition, the organizers offer the most attractive prices for their various events since they minimize the number of intermediaries. With the official Formula 1 website, it is therefore the safest way to purchase tickets, without the worry of the provider going bankrupt.
