While he showed good form during this morning’s practice session, finishing third behind Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso, Paul di Resta will not be able to replicate the same performance on the grid tomorrow due to the reliability of his Force India.

The Scottish driver was indeed forced to fit a new gearbox before Free Practice 3, and this was outside the 5 Grand Prix cycle allowed by the FIA. The Sahara Force India marked with number 11 will therefore be demoted by 5 places on the starting grid.

This grid penalty echoes the 10-place penalty given to Pastor Maldonado for his performance during the Spa weekend.
