Saturday: Red Bull expected to struggle in qualifying
The RB8 visibly accommodated quite poorly to the long straights of Monza, and Red Bull knew it would be difficult to get through the qualifying stage. Thus, while Mark Webber was stuck in Q2 by a small margin, Sebastian Vettel managed to secure the 6th fastest time in Q3.

Sebastian Vettel – 12th and 6th [5th on the grid]:
« I am quite satisfied with this result; my last lap should have been a bit faster, but it’s hard to say if it would have made a difference or not. If you look between the front and us, the gaps are too big. All weekend, we weren’t fast enough, so 6th place is a very good position to be in. Let’s see what we can do in the race, I think the pace tomorrow should be better. »
Mark Webber – 11th and 11th:
« It’s pretty much what we expected today. Seb and I were in the bubble; we were very close – a tenth here, a tenth there, and I’m out. No big surprise. I’m 11th, so we have a bit of a choice on what we’re going to do, but I’d rather be higher on the grid. Tomorrow is going to be tough; but it’s Monza, so you can never say never. »
