Saturday: Marussia gets closer to Caterham
In search of aerodynamic solutions since Friday's tests, the Marussia drivers seem satisfied with the settings of their MR-01, which is getting closer to the Caterhams race by race. Timo Glock will start from the 19th position tomorrow, while his young teammate Charles Pic will be in his rearview mirror, in 20th place.

Timo Glock – 22nd and 20th [19th on the grid]:
For the qualifications, we opted for new settings that were quite satisfactory in terms of balance. Our aerodynamic package is quite efficient, which also results in a good top speed. Moreover, I was very close to Petrov in terms of timing, which is also a good thing. Despite this, with the fastest tire set, I didn’t manage to go faster. Therefore, we need to analyze the data collected this afternoon to get the best out of the car for tomorrow.
Charles Pic – 21st and 21st [20th on the grid]:
« I think I had a good qualifying session. I encountered a bit of traffic when I used the first set of tires, but things went much better when we put the second set on. We had to make a small change to the car this morning that might have cost us, but overall I’m happy. Now we just have to see what happens tomorrow. In any case, we are closer to our direct competitors, which is very good. But we’ll have to do the same in the race, and that’s another story. »
