Sunday: Red Bull had been in the points for 33 races
All good things must come to an end, and there will not have been a 34th consecutive points finish for Red Bull, a streak that began after the inaugural race in Korea in 2010. The Austrian team leaves Monza empty-handed, after Sebastian Vettel's second retirement due to an alternator failure, and a race end where Mark Webber lost his rear tires.

Sebastian Vettel – Abandon (alternator):
« I realized I had a problem about 300 meters before stopping the car. It was an alternator problem, similar to the one we encountered yesterday morning.
The incident that led to the Drive Through happened and the decision was made, so there’s not much to say about it. We lost a few points today; but we did the best we could – you could see that our pace wasn’t as good as the front runners. It was a good race for us considering this lack of pace. There aren’t that many long straights on the upcoming circuits, so we should be able to perform well there.
Mark Webber – Abandon (voluntary retirement):
« Towards the end of the race, I had no rear tires left and I was pushing hard but in a reasonable manner. Nico [Rosberg] was coming with fresh tires from his second stop, so I had to keep pushing – in the interest of scoring some points. Maybe I shouldn’t have pushed so hard, but I was trying to stay in the race. The rear tires were gone, so the car got away from me at the exit of the Ascari chicane; I managed to stay away from the wall, but I had flat-spotted the tires so much that I was afraid of damaging the car. We are driving at 330 km/h here, I couldn’t see the track, so we decided to retire. »
