HRT produces an electric bike with Yamimoto
HRT is entering the merchandise business by offering for sale an electric bicycle bearing its name and colors, produced by the specialized brand Yamimoto.
Electric bikes have become an increasingly popular tool among Formula 1 drivers as they allow them to quickly cross the paddock and reach their cars without expending too much energy.
Thus, it was Michael Schumacher who started the trend upon his return when he discovered the benefits of eTricks bikes through a Belgian photographer who was already using them to get around the circuits worldwide.
The collaboration established today by HRT with its compatriot comprises two aspects: the staff of the modest team will now benefit from electric bikes at each Grand Prix. The second aspect is commercial as a limited series of this same bike will be offered for sale in the 50 stores owned by the Spanish brand in its national territory.
Since the beginning of the season, the team has been committed to being as Spanish as possible, which materialized with the recruitment of Pedro de la Rosa as a main driver and Dani Clos as a reserve driver. The latter was involved in the presentation of this bike, alongside the elegant Paula Vazquez, who was making her debut as an ambassador for the bicycle brand.
