Friday: Sauber did not find the right balance
Struggling for balance all day on a circuit where drivers must constantly be in sync with their cars, the Sauber team found itself relegated to the mid-pack of the time sheets. Sergio Pérez and Kamui Kobayashi are therefore hoping to find solutions to address these issues.
Sergio Pérez – 10th and 15th:
« For me, it was a difficult day because I’ve never really been happy with the car’s balance. It felt inconsistent and a bit unpredictable. We now need to carefully analyze the data and find a way to improve the car. »
Kamui Kobayashi – 13th and 16th:
The first session, where we evaluated new parts, was quite positive, but overall, our performance was rather weak today. I encountered far too much oversteer. It’s great to race in Singapore again, but it’s important that we improve the balance and settings because you need to have confidence in your car here.
