Friday: Work at Force India after Di Resta’s crash

If the day went smoothly for Nico Hülkenberg, who completed his program without issues, it was not the case for Paul di Resta, whose crash early in FP2 prevented him from working in the afternoon.

Nico Hülkenberg – 9th and 4th:

A quiet Friday for me and it was nice to have two sessions on the dry with decent weather. We completed the program and achieved everything we wanted to do without any issues. I’m quite happy with the car with low fuel, but I think we still have work to do to improve our performance on stints with a lot of fuel. We chose to use our usual approach with the tires and did long stints with both the hards and the softs, so we have a lot of information that will help us in the race.

Paul di Resta – 8th and 24th:

« The morning session was simple and the balance was good right after the break with the changes we made to the car. Unfortunately, I made a mistake quite early and was probably too ambitious. I put both right wheels on the grass and lost grip. It’s a shame that it happened so early in the session and it means extra work for the guys tonight. You have to be on the limit to feel what the car is capable of and sometimes these things happen, but fortunately it won’t cost us too much for the rest of the weekend. »
