Sunday: Caterham in its place after a smooth race
Like many other teams, Caterham experienced graining issues with the Super Soft tires, but the rest of the race was uneventful, with Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov fighting until the checkered flag for the 16th position, at a respectable distance from the pack ahead and the Marussias behind.

Heikki Kovalainen – 17th:
« It was a rather simple race, which for us involved ensuring that both cars finished ahead of the teams behind us without any issues. I got a good start again and was ahead of my teammate at the first corner after starting on Super Soft tires. They started wearing out relatively quickly, particularly the front right, which we knew was likely, so we opted for Soft tires during both pit stops, and they helped us well for most of the afternoon. To be honest, it was a rather calm race for me. We were easily able to stay ahead of the teams following us, we had no issues with the car, and we probably used it to its maximum today. »
Vitaly Petrov – 16th:
For me, it was a good afternoon, probably the best result I could have achieved today. The car performed well throughout the race, and I had a nice battle with Heikki right from the start. Today, it was all about keeping an eye on the gap with the Marussias, getting through the first corner smoothly, and from there, ensuring to manage the tires well. In the first stint, it was challenging because the Super Softs I started with grained very early, but the two sets of Soft tires I used in the second and third stints worked well, and I was able to cross the finish line without any issues.
