No team orders at Red Bull yet
Christian Horner, the sporting director of the Red Bull team, stated that it is still too early to give team orders. Mark Webber will therefore not receive any instructions from his pit during the race to favor his teammate.

As Sebastian Vettel has just taken the lead in the World Drivers’ Championship standings, Red Bull team boss, Christian Horner, said it was still too early to issue team orders to favor the double German world champion over his teammate Mark Webber.
The Australian driver is currently in fifth place in the driver championship standings and is 63 points behind his teammate Sebastian Vettel. With four races still to go, Webber can still mathematically fight for the title.
That is why the Red Bull team and Christian Horner do not want to resort to favoring one of their two drivers: « Sebastian has just taken the championship lead, and Mark still has a chance to win the championship. I think it would be a mistake to impose team orders while Mark still has a mathematical chance to win. »
While some observers might have thought that Mark Webber had let Sebastian Vettel slip away to victory in the last Grand Prix in Korea, Horner obviously does not share this view: « They showed in Korea that they could compete fairly against each other, and that’s all we ask of them. »
The championship remains open for the two representatives of the Austrian team, unlike Ferrari, which clearly favors Fernando Alonso over Felipe Massa. A different approach, therefore, which could potentially cost Red Bull dearly at the end of the season.
