Sunday: Maldonado and Senna could have hoped for more at Williams
After a race marked by incidents and mechanical issues, the Williams drivers leave Abu Dhabi with points from fifth and eighth positions. Hampered by a KERS problem, Pastor Maldonado couldn't exploit the full potential of his ride, while Bruno Senna, a collateral victim of a first-lap collision, took advantage of the two safety cars to make up for lost time.

Pastor Maldonado – 5th:
« Today, we missed the opportunity to finish on the podium after we lost the use of the KERS following the first safety car period. There was certainly more in the car. The pace was good, and initially, I was closing the gap on Kimi [Räikkönen] but we still collected good points today and it was a great race. I feel very motivated within the team. We now need to keep the car at the top, and I look forward to the next two races. »
Bruno Senna – 8th:
« It was a very difficult weekend, but I come away with a pleasant taste in my mouth. I got a good start by positioning myself well for turn 1, but then some cars touched in front and hit me. I had to start over from scratch, but I kept my cool. There were a lot of things to do, but we had a good pace when we needed it and scored some good points for the team. That’s why we’re here and we never give up. There is good energy and good vibes now before heading to the next two races, in Austin and Brazil. »
