Sunday: Williams ends 2012 with a double retirement
The Williams team hoped to end the 2012 season on a high note, but the opposite happened. After just two laps, both of the Grove team's cars were out of the race.

Pastor Maldonado – Retirement:
« We got off to a great start, gaining several positions, but unfortunately, I lost the rear of the car at turn number 3. It was very slippery and there wasn’t much grip, which caught us by surprise. We couldn’t do anything more because we didn’t have luck on our side today. »
Bruno Senna – Retirement
I got off to a good start and was driving well but unfortunately I had an accident when Sebastian [Vettel, ed.] tried to take the line and I had nowhere to go. That’s racing and sometimes these things happen. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who supported me so much for my home Grand Prix because it always makes a big difference.
