Saturday: Marussia could have done better
There is a mixed feeling tonight in the Marussia garage. While the team can be pleased about having placed both its drivers ahead of the Caterhams, they were not able to fully capitalize on the potential of their car and there was certainly an opportunity to achieve better lap times. Bianchi and Chilton are now counting on their race pace to deliver a solid performance tomorrow.

Jules Bianchi – 19th and 19th:
« I’m happy with the position we’ll occupy on the grid tomorrow, but I’m a bit disappointed with my lap to be honest. I made a small mistake that cost me time, and there was certainly room for improvement. I think we struggled a bit today, but I’m confident about our race pace, so I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow. It will be important to get a good start to ensure that the cars behind us stay there. Then we can try to close the gap to the cars in front and hopefully see the benefits of our improvements. I think it will be an interesting race because of the tires and track conditions, and I hope we will be able to take advantage of circumstances that could turn in our favor. »
Max Chilton – 21st and 20th:
« It would be easy to focus on the negative aspects of this day, but considering the challenge we have faced from my side of the garage so far, I am encouraged by what we have achieved. The goal was to stay ahead of the Caterhams, which I did despite having only one attempt. Even though it was frustrating, at least it means we will start ahead of them on the grid tomorrow, and hopefully, we will be able to make good use of our race pace to have a strong race. Fingers crossed for a trouble-free race. »
