Friday: Red Bull is in good shape
The sessions follow each other and are not alike for Red Bull. After being behind at the end of the first practice sessions disrupted by the weather, the RB9s showed much more flair in the afternoon. What is certain is that Vettel and Webber will have to be reckoned with during the rest of the weekend.
Sebastian Vettel – 19th and 1st:
« We have some new parts here, but the era of major developments is not really relevant anymore with the current regulation. This afternoon was relatively conclusive, but this morning wasn’t really good due to the weather. It’s hard to say more about the hardest tires. I think the number of stops will be the same here as in the last races. »
Mark Webber – 20th and 3rd:
« It’s very tight. We couldn’t have done more today. The weather made things a bit tricky, but it was a pretty good day nonetheless. We had a few small things to test this morning that we had to evaluate in the afternoon when the weather was better, but it was fine. We still have work ahead of us tonight. It’s a great Grand Prix, one of the most popular of the year. »
