Friday: Gutiérrez Learns, Hülkenberg Not Happy
At Sauber, Nico Hülkenberg is very unhappy with his day, while Esteban Gutiérrez believes it was good to gain experience on a wet track. Conditions in which, according to the Mexican driver, the C32 has a better chance of achieving a good result this weekend.

Nico Hülkenberg – 17th and 18th
« It was a difficult Friday. The rain this morning didn’t allow us to complete our program as we wanted. It’s very difficult to try new parts, especially new tyres, in these conditions. Despite the forecasts, free practice 2 took place on a dry track. The afternoon, however, was also tricky. The car was undrivable and halfway through the session we found an error in the setup. But even after correcting that, we still had difficulties. I am not satisfied with the current setup. We need to improve that and have quite a bit of work to do before tomorrow. »
Esteban Gutiérrez – 15th and 17th
Overall, we tested a lot of different settings today so we were able to find the right balance. But it’s clear that we need to find more speed. We are clearly not where we want to be, and we need to work as a team to improve that and have better speed. The track is really fun in a Formula 1. I like it a lot. You can attack the curbs, you have high speeds, and it’s a real challenge. The change in weather conditions was good. It was important to gain experience with the intermediate tires. The forecasts are still uncertain, and I think we are more competitive in the wet.
