Sunday: After the rain, no sun for Räikkönen and Lotus
If Kimi Räikkönen matched the record for consecutive points finishes held by Michael Schumacher, he remains disappointed with his ninth position at the finish of a race where he notably suffered from brake problems. For his part, Romain Grosjean was hindered in his recovery by excessive tire degradation.

Kimi Räikkönen – 9th:
« My race didn’t start very well and then my brakes weakened, the pedal became soft, as happened on Friday. It wasn’t ideal, but at least the brakes were enough to slow me down for the corners. Unfortunately, that made me lose a lot of time, I couldn’t push, and on top of that, we lost a few seconds during the stops, which didn’t help either, obviously. I spent most of the race following other cars and defending against my pursuers. So it wasn’t a very pleasant day, and the result isn’t either. It was a bad weekend, but at least we scored some points. »
Romain Grosjean – 13th:
Starting from the back, it was set to be a difficult race, but it’s always disappointing to miss out on points. Things were looking pretty good until the moment I switched to the softest tires. They collapsed much faster than we expected, forcing me to make another stop. Unfortunately, this dashed my hopes for points, as there wasn’t enough time left to recover. Despite a promising start on Friday, the weekend wasn’t the best. Now, we were performing well last year at Silverstone, so we’ll come back and try to turn the situation around.
