Friday: 90 Busy Minutes for Red Bull
Having not driven this morning, Red Bull had a busy afternoon to prepare well for the rest of the weekend. However, that did not prevent the world champion team from having a productive day.
Sebastian Vettel – No time and 3rd:
I think overall we can be happy. It was a good day. Obviously, it was important to be able to do a few laps in the dry since it should be dry on Sunday. Now we need to see what we can improve, look at what others have done, and then we’ll know a bit more for tomorrow. Today we tried to do both short and long runs. For tomorrow’s free practice 3, we need to decide whether to focus on preparing for qualifying or for the race.
Mark Webber – No timed lap and 2nd:
We tried to do as much as possible in 90 minutes. We tested both tire compounds, drove with different fuel loads, so it was a very busy session for the team. I think Seb and I drove on different tires and gathered the information we needed for the race. Today we got a preview of tomorrow’s work, but the focus was on Sunday. I think the race will be close. Honestly, I don’t see anyone dominating.
