Rosberg does not want to talk about the title yet
Although he has been the strong man in recent races, Nico Rosberg believes it is still too early to talk about a world title. At the moment, the German is approaching the races one at a time.

In the last three Grand Prix, the Mercedes team scored 99 points, 11 more than Red Bull and 48 more than Ferrari. This competitiveness particularly benefited Nico Rosberg, who won twice, in Monaco and then at Silverstone: “It’s a very pleasant period in my career right now. It’s new,” explained the German driver in a press conference. “I’ve never had a car as fast as now, starting each weekend knowing that I can fight for a place at the front in qualifying but also in the race. The car is behaving better and better so our chances are higher even on Sunday. It’s a very pleasant feeling, very motivating too.”
Is it time to start thinking about fighting for the world title? When asked about this, Rosberg dodges the question: « It’s too early to tell. I don’t want to talk about the title at the moment. We are focusing on maintaining our performance level and taking each race one at a time, trying to achieve the best possible result, just like we have in the last races, which went fantastically well for me. We will see in a few races. »
If he shows some reservations, it might be because he thinks the new Pirelli tires, which will be introduced in Budapest, could shake things up: « There’s a strong chance that it will impact performance in qualifying and during the race, it will be interesting. We tried them in Canada (during Friday’s practice, editor’s note) but we couldn’t learn much because of the weather. It’s possible that it might shake things up a bit, but it’s also an opportunity for us as a team to try to understand them better and faster than the others, » explains the Mercedes driver.
New rear tires will already be used this weekend, but only the structure changes and not the compound.
