This weekend, the F1 paddock is at Interlagos, the venue of the 19th and final Grand Prix of the 2013 season. Rain could reshuffle the deck this afternoon, which could spice up the race. If conditions remain dry, we should see a majority of two or three-stop strategies according to Pirelli’s predictions.
On pole position, we find Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull, which will have Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes alongside it. Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber make up the second row. The Australian will make his last start in Formula 1 this Sunday. Lewis Hamilton and Romain Grosjean are 5th and 6th ahead of the two Toro Rossos of Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne. Felipe Massa and Nico Hülkenberg complete the top 10 of this starting grid.
On the side of the other French drivers, Charles Pic is 19th and ahead of Giedo Van der Garde, while Jules Bianchi is 20th ahead of Max Chilton.
Also worth noting that Sergio Pérez received a five-place penalty for a gearbox change following his qualifying crash yesterday.
