The investigation into Michael Schumacher’s accident closed with no further action
The investigation into Michael Schumacher's accident on December 29th at the Méribel resort will not attribute any criminal responsibility. The resort had adhered to safety measures.

While Michael Schumacher is still in the awakening phase and entering his eighth week of hospitalization, the judicial investigation is coming to an end. No offense has been found against anyone. The accident occurred in an off-piste area, emphasized Patrick Quincy in a statement, specifying that the signage, marking, staking, and information given on the limits of this piste complied with the current French standards.
On December 29th, Michael Schumacher fell in a rocky area located between two slopes at the Méribel resort. Several theories had circulated about this accident, before the camera on the seven-time world champion’s helmet was handed over to the authorities by the family, showing that he was skiing at low speed.
No news regarding the health status of the German, about whom a number of rumors have circulated recently. It’s worth noting that his skiing accident created an international stir, and the media pushed their coverage of the event to the extreme. On the judicial aspect, at least, there will now be nothing more to say on the criminal front; civil proceedings, however, remain possible.
