Bob Bell will leave Mercedes at the end of 2014
The technical director of Mercedes will leave the star-branded company at the end of the season. His duties will be taken over by Paddy Lowe.

Definitely! Following the thunderous announcement of Stefano Domenicali’s resignation from Ferrari and his replacement by Marco Mattiacci, it’s now Mercedes’ turn to announce a shake-up in their workforce. Bob Bell, the team’s technical director, is leaving Mercedes and will not be replaced.
The team confirmed Bell’s departure, apparently decided last December as the Briton reportedly intends to seek new challenges outside the company. Bob Bell joined the team in 2011, after leaving Renault where he had held the position of technical director since 2001. Paddy Lowe, already the executive director of the team, will also take on the technical direction at the end of the season.
The big shake-up continues at Mercedes since the arrival of Toto Wolff and Paddy Lowe in the team. Ross Brawn took his retirement last February. It seems that too many strategic minds in one team did not make for a good combination, despite the success achieved by the Silver Arrows this season.
