Towards a Renewal of the Canadian Grand Prix?
According to the Canadian press, the Montreal weekend could be associated with the announcement of the extension of the current contract linking Formula 1 to the Canadian Grand Prix for an additional ten years.
While information was recently circulating that there would be no future for Canada in F1 due to a lack of agreement between the parties, with Bernie Ecclestone demanding modernization works on the circuit costing 30 million euros and a 4% indexation of the circuit. Patrick Tremblay, journalist for TVA Sports, expressed himself in his column in the Journal de Montréal: « There’s one step left to be taken, Thursday morning in Ottawa at the treasury board meeting, but the bulk of the work has been done, » he declares.
