Sauber F1: Simona de Silvestro completes 323 laps in testing
The Sauber F1 affiliated driver, Simona de Silvestro, completed three days of testing at the Valencia circuit midweek.

For Sauber, the start of the season is nightmarish with no points scored in eight races. While the regular drivers aren’t celebrating, it’s a different story for the reserve drivers. In fact, Sergey Sirotkin, their test driver, won a Formula Renault 3.5 race this Saturday at the Moscow circuit.
On her side, Simona de Silvestro, an affiliated driver, took part in three days of testing, during which she completed 323 laps. These tests were conducted in Valencia, with a 2012 Sauber, as the regulations state, the same she used in Fiorano last April.
The Swiss driver benefits from the support of her sponsors, whose colors have been used to redecorate the Sauber C31 she is using, and who could potentially support her in securing a seat for 2015. The driver’s times have not been disclosed. She might drive at Silverstone on July 8th and 9th during private testing sessions held after the Grand Prix.
