Cyril Abiteboul returns to Renault Sport F1
After being removed from the Caterham F1 team following the team's takeover, Cyril Abiteboul quickly managed to bounce back by being appointed Managing Director of Renault Sport F1.

One day only after the announcement of his departure from Caterham F1, Cyril Abiteboul will not have been without a job for long. Indeed, the Frenchman has been officially announced at Renault Sport F1.
It’s therefore a return to the roots for Abiteboul, who joined Renault in 2001 before moving to Renault F1 in 2007. He then left the diamond brand to join Caterham in September 2012.
This return of Cyril Abiteboul to RSF1 follows the retirement of Renault Sport F1’s CEO, Jean-Michel Jalinier, as explained by the French brand in a statement: The Renault group announces with regret the departure of Mr. Jean Michel Jalinier, CEO of Renault Sport F1, who has decided to retire for personal reasons.
Jalinier will be replaced by Jérôme Stoll as President of RSF1 and Cyril Abiteboul for the role of General Manager of RSF1: « As of July 3, Mr. Jérôme Stoll, Deputy Director for Performance and Group Commercial Director, is appointed President of Renault Sport F1, in addition to his current responsibilities. Mr. Cyril Abiteboul is appointed to the newly created position of General Manager of Renault Sport F1 and reports to Mr. Jérôme Stoll. »
