Saturday: Williams drivers aim for points despite elimination in Q1
Neither Felipe Massa nor Valtteri Bottas managed to get out of the first part of the qualifying session for the British Grand Prix in F1. But both Williams drivers know they have a good car with the FW36 and intend to prove it tomorrow in the race by bringing home points.

Valtteri Bottas (No. 77) – 9th and 17th [15th on the grid]
The Finn did not expect to be out in Q1 but remains confident for the race and aims to score points at the finish: « The whole session was incredible. We went out too late to fit dry tires, so we couldn’t test them because it started raining again. To be honest, we weren’t lucky that it started raining again. We had the pace to be in Q3, so we missed a great opportunity. The race will be long tomorrow, and we have a good car, so we can still climb into the points, but the weather will play a role once again. »
Felipe Massa (No. 19) – 13th and 18th [16th on the grid]
The Brazilian is disappointed with his underperformance but remains optimistic for the race because he knows he has a good car with the Williams FW36: « It was really a missed opportunity to place the car in a good position for tomorrow. We weren’t expecting the rain, and the track was drying, so we had to set a time. At that moment, it started raining again, and it was over. We have a lot to do tomorrow, and it won’t be easy, but the car is faster than our current positions. »
