Saturday: Bianchi takes out Räikkönen and puts his Marussia F1 in Q2 in Hungary
Jules Bianchi managed to qualify for Q2 today at the Hungaroring circuit. His teammate at Marussia, Max Chilton, was unable to do so, hindered notably by an issue that caused him to lose power in his final stint.

Jules Bianchi (No. 17) – 22nd and 16th
The Frenchman managed to qualify for Q2, which delights him: « I am really very, very happy to start the race from the 16th position, after making it to Q2 once again, and on a dry track, without any difficult conditions. We didn’t have the best start to the weekend but we caught up today. My first stint wasn’t so good because I made a mistake, but in the second stint we had a perfect qualifying. So we are in Q2 for the second time this year and it’s good for me and for the team. »
For the race, he expects to suffer but remains optimistic: « Tomorrow, it will not be an easy race but I hope it will be good. »
Max Chilton (No. 4) – 20th and 19th
The Briton finishes behind his teammate and Kobayashi’s Caterham, which disappointed him, but he explains this underperformance by a problem encountered: « Obviously, I’m quite disappointed with today’s result. I’ve struggled a lot since the start of the weekend, but we managed to improve the car for qualifying, so it’s really a shame that we couldn’t see what we could do with these improvements. The first stint was good but in the second, I had an electrical problem which meant I had no more power and therefore couldn’t make my quick lap. »
