Alonso would like 35 million euros per year to extend his contract with Ferrari
According to the Italian press, Fernando Alonso would like his earnings to reach around 35 million euros per year to remain with Scuderia Ferrari.

According to *Autosprint*, Fernando Alonso is looking to extend his contract with Scuderia Ferrari with a significant salary increase, nearly 50 million dollars a year – or about 35 million euros. The Spaniard remains frustrated at not being able to vie for a third world crown, and while some observers think the Spanish driver is looking to leave Ferrari, the Italian magazine believes he wishes to continue with the Reds.
The former Renault driver is reportedly being uncompromising in negotiations to extend beyond the 2016 season. According to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, Ferrari wants to sign a three-year contract with the Spanish driver, tying him until 2019, which would be until he is 38 years old.
If the deal were to conclude with the revealed amounts, Alonso would become the highest-paid driver in the paddock with 35 million euros per season and even the highest-paid driver in the history of the sport in general according to Bild.
As a reminder, Fernando Alonso is currently 4th in the World Championship and has almost no hope of fighting for the world title this year.
