Red Bull: Guillaume Rocquelin will no longer be Vettel’s engineer in 2015

Sebastian Vettel will have a new race engineer next season. Indeed, the duo he forms with Guillaume Rocquelin will not be renewed in 2015, as the Frenchman is being promoted within the Red Bull Racing team.

Sebastian Vettel will have a new race engineer next year with the Red Bull Racing team. Indeed, Guillaume Rocquelin – with whom he has been paired since 2009 and whose collaboration resulted in four world championship titles – will be inducted into a new role within the Milton Keynes team.

Following Adrian Newey’s departure from Red Bull’s F1 project, the Austrian team has decided to reorganize, and Rocky is expected to take on another role as a senior engineer but will continue to attend Grand Prix, according to Autosport.

The French engineer will be replaced by Gianpiero Lambiase, current engineer of Sergio Perez within the Sahara Force India team. Helmut Marko having told Die Welt that the German driver knew what to expect with the future arrival: « Sebastian knows who is coming – he has been involved in the discussions. »
