Gutierrez and Sauber hope to score points in Singapore
Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez have not been able to bring any points to the Sauber F1 team since the start of the 2014 F1 season, but the Mexican believes this will change with the new updates planned for the Singapore F1 GP.

The Sauber F1 team is currently in 10th place in the constructors’ championship, with a score still at zero after 13 rounds out of the 19 scheduled in 2014. The Swiss team is even behind Marussia, thanks to the two points scored by Jules Bianchi in Monaco.
But the Hinwil team has not given up and fully intends to score points this season, starting with next weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix, where the C33 will benefit from several aerodynamic updates, including a new engine cover and a revised front wing.
In the pre-race statement released by the Sauber team, Esteban Gutierrez hopes it will allow him to be competitive: « Regarding the layout, I think the characteristics will suit the C33. We have worked intensively on the mechanical settings of the car, which will be crucial on this circuit, as it has many tight corners and few straights. I am looking forward to this weekend, especially to make the most of the new features we will have on the car. It will be an interesting race, and there is a realistic chance for a positive result. »
By a positive result, the Mexican driver means points, as he told GPUpdate: “We want to score these [first] points and I am convinced that we will have a chance to do so. Since Germany, we have been exploring a lot of mechanical settings. It’s getting better and better.”
