Grosjean will take part in the 2014 Race of Champions
Romain Grosjean will defend his Champion of Champions title at the Race of Champions, which will take place this year in Barbados.

Romain Grosjean will participate in the Race of Champions this year, which will take place in the Caribbean, specifically in Barbados. The French driver won the race in 2012 in Bangkok and will defend his title as the 2013 edition was canceled.
“I’m very happy to be back once again at the Race of Champions! It’s such an exciting event where all the drivers race at 100% but we can also have a lot of fun off the track. Returning this year is even more special for me because I won the ‘Champion of Champions’ title at the last race. I look forward to racing in Barbados because I know there are great motorsport fans,” the current Lotus driver told GPUpdate.net.
Grosjean is also looking forward to racing as a team for France: « This year, we will also do everything we can to win the race by nation because it’s always special to race for your country. »
The native of Geneva is currently one of the few confirmed drivers for the event alongside nine-time Le Mans 24 Hours winner, the Dane Tom Kristensen.
The organizer of the Race of Champions, Fredrik Johnsson, expressed his delight at the presence of the two men: “We are thrilled to start the list of participants for the 2014 Race of Champions with our top 2 from the last Race of Champions. Romain showed his skill in Bangkok by defeating Sebastian [Vettel], Michael [Schumacher], and Tom – three of the greatest drivers in the world – consecutively to become the Champion of Champions.”
