Friday: Caterham F1, Kobayashi’s Good Feeling in Singapore
The first day of free practice at the Singapore Grand Prix did not allow the Caterhams to get ahead of the Marussias. Nevertheless, the team wants to focus on the positives.

Kamui Kobayashi (n°10) – 21st and 21st
For the Japanese, if everything is not perfect, the feeling is good on a circuit he likes: « We always need a bit of time to understand the car here, but I have a good feeling for this weekend, it’s a circuit I like. This morning in FP1, I wasn’t entirely happy with the car’s balance and, even though the car slightly improved from FP1 to FP2, it’s not enough. »
Marcus Ericsson (No. 9) – 20th and 22nd
The Swede is positive about his first day of F1 at the Marina Bay circuit even though he finished the day in last place: « It was a good start to the weekend; we completed a lot of laps in FP1 and tried a few different setups. I felt comfortable in the car right away—I already knew the track from my time in GP2, so there were no surprises. It’s a circuit I really like, and it’s even better to drive in an F1. »
