Friday: Only one Marussia on track, Chilton still “devastated”

The atmosphere is inevitably heavy and tense within the Marussia team. As the team's only driver in Sochi, Max Chilton is trying to do his best on the track, but the main focus is elsewhere.

Max Chilton (No. 4) – 21st and 20th

In tribute to Jules Bianchi, who is still in a critical condition, Marussia has decided to run only one car, that of Max Chilton. Even though he will do his best this weekend, the English driver does not hide his emotion: “I don’t know what words to use to express how devastated I am by what happened to Jules. The support from the F1 family has been incredible, and all we can do is show our support to Jules’ family during this difficult time. It is going to be an emotional weekend for the entire team, but we will try to get through it while continuing to pray for Jules.”
