The FIA has written to the F1 teams to ask them to send any information that might be relevant to its investigation into the serious accident of Jules Bianchi during the Japanese Grand Prix.

The international body has set up a committee to further investigate the conditions of the Marussia driver’s accident. The report produced by Charlie Whiting has been forwarded to this group, led by Peter Wright, the president of the FIA Safety Commission, according to Autosport.

At the same time, Jean-Louis Valentin, the secretary-general for motorsport, sent an email to all team managers this week. In this email, which Autosport was able to obtain, it is stated that the committee and its president may contact the teams in the coming weeks, and it is also requested that the teams communicate any information they might have regarding the circumstances of the accident and retain control over any documents, testimonies, and information that may be relevant.

A spokesperson for the FIA confirmed that this is the kickoff of the process announced [by Jean Todt] in Sochi last Friday.
