Pirelli changes its tire choices for the Brazilian Grand Prix
After the criticism notably made by Felipe Massa, Pirelli reconsidered its choices for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

After announcing its tire choices for the last three races of the season shortly before the Russian Grand Prix, Pirelli has backtracked regarding the tires for the Brazilian GP.
After the Sochi race, Felipe Massa spoke out against the choice of medium and hard tires for the Interlagos race, deeming it a “very dangerous” decision.
Pirelli re-evaluated the situation by analyzing the new asphalt, and after a consultation with the Tire Working Group, it was unanimously decided that soft and medium tires will eventually be used for the Grand Prix in São Paulo.
Paul Hembery, the competition director of the Italian manufacturer, spoke on this subject, reaffirming the Milanese brand’s commitment to seeking conciliation above all: “We have always said that we are open to any change if it is required. After some further analysis of the impact of the resurfaced circuit, in addition to a risk assessment suggesting a low probability of overheating due to extreme temperatures, we made this change with the unanimous agreement of the eleven teams.”
