Gutierrez is exploring several options for 2015
After two seasons with Sauber, Esteban Gutierrez has not been retained for next year - the Swiss team having officially announced Ericsson and Nasr - but he remains optimistic about his chances of continuing in F1 in 2015.

Esteban Gutierrez will no longer drive for Sauber F1 next season, as the Swiss team – with which he made his F1 debut in 2013 – has already announced Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr for the 2015 F1 season.
Although these appointments overshadow the young Mexican’s future in Formula 1, Gutierrez remains optimistic for next year, as quoted by GPUpdate: « Unfortunately, after long discussions and negotiations, we were unable to reach an agreement. At the same time, we must and continue to work on various alternatives with the intention of staying in Formula 1. »
« I fully thank my entire team, my sponsors, and my fans for their support throughout my career; we will continue to work as a team to find the best way forward. »
Gutierrez also wanted to thank the Sauber team for the two years spent together in competition and the time spent developing with the team’s support beforehand: I would like to thank every member of the Sauber team for all the time we worked together. I wish them the best.
On the side of the other current Sauber F1 team driver, Adrian Sutil, he has not yet responded to the news of losing his seat.
