After a good qualifying session, the goal is to score points for the Sauber drivers in Brazil
The Sauber drivers qualified 11th for Gutierrez and 13th for Sutil, and these starting positions close to the top 10 make both men optimistic about their chances of securing the Swiss team's first points in 2014.

The two Sauber F1 drivers delivered a strong performance during the Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying session. Gutierrez and Sutil managed to qualify for Q2 and finished close to the top 10.
Esteban Gutiérrez was the fastest by setting the 11th fastest time, a performance that delights him especially since he encountered several problems on Friday during the first practice sessions: « 11th in qualifying is a satisfying result for the team and also for me. Due to several technical problems, I lost a lot of track time yesterday, but the team did a great job last night to build a car for today. »
The Mexican has a simple goal with this good starting position, to finish in the points: « I will fight from the beginning to the end of the race to secure the points we deserve. »
Adrian Sutil, 13th on the grid, has the same objective as his teammate: to bring the first points of the season to the Sauber F1 team: « The qualification wasn’t easy today. At least we made it to Q2, and I think 13th is a good starting position. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s race, during which I hope to get closer to the front. The goal is always to score the first points. »
Monisha Kaltenborn, the director of the Swiss team, also hopes that this good result from her drivers on the grid will enable her team to score their first points: « With this qualifying result, we can be satisfied. Esteban delivered a particularly good performance. We will start the race from the 11th and 13th positions, which is a promising starting point. Thanks to this, we hope to be able to score points. »
